The Credit Unions for Hunger Relief™ initiative is a way that credit unions in Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Oregon, Washington and Wyoming can leverage their individual efforts to help solve food insecurity in their local communities.

Through the Credit Unions for Hunger Relief™ initiative, donations are made to local front-line organizations providing resources to help those impacted by food insecurity.

• Credit unions participate by raising funds, with the ownership and the ability to structure their own unique effort with the distribution of funds.

• The Foundation will match up to $100,000 allowing each participating credit union to receive up to $1,500 in matched funds.

• Partner organizations are also able to contribute to the fund, increasing the opportunities to help locally.

• Donations to local charities will come from the initiative on behalf of the local credit union.

Our goal is to impact local communities with the supported efforts that will align with the credit union movement’s long-held purpose of serving the underserved, along with guiding principles of people helping people and community involvement.
